چکیده
Friction Stir Welding is a suitable solid-state joining technology to connect dissimilar materials. To produce an effective joint, phase of optimization required which leads the definition process parameters such as pin geometry, tool rotational speed, rotation direction, welding thickness sheets or tilt angle. The aim this review present complete and detailed frame main their effect on final performance friction stir welded joint in terms mechanical properties microstructure. Attention was focused particular connection between different aluminum alloys. Moreover, experimental results were correlated development applications tools can be effectively used design manufacturing finite element analyses, artificial neural networks, statistical studies. also aims point reference identify best combinations based joined.

Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a solid state process widely used to join dissimilar aluminium alloys. High quality and strength joints can be fabricated using this technique when compared to other conventional methods. The welding parameters play major role in determining the quality of the weld. This paper aims in presenting the effect of heat input on tensile properties of the joints between ...
متن کاملLiquation Cracking of Dissimilar Aluminum Alloys during Friction Stir Welding
A liquation cracking mechanism of dissimilar Al alloys during the friction stir welding (FSW) is suggested in this study. To identify the mechanism, the precipitates were analyzed and Al-Mg-Cu phase diagrams were calculated. Electron backscattering diffraction (EBSD) analysis and electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) were also conducted. In the same manner as constitutional liquation, at high hea...
متن کاملThe effect of Zn element addition on dissimilar Al6061/AZ31 friction stir welded joints
In this study, friction stir butt welding of Mg and Al alloys with applying Zn interlayer was performed. To obtain optimum condition, a combination of two travel and three rotation speeds were selected. Mg-Zn and Mg-Al-Zn IMCs, Al solid solution and residual Zn, were the most common phases in the stirred zone, which eliminated the formation of Al-Mg intermetallics. The maximum mechanical proper...
